Eva Deren is the founder of Global Risk Overlay, LLC. She started her career at the UNICEF headquarters in New York City, gaining exposure to the issues facing vulnerable populations in Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States. After obtaining a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Development from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, she embarked upon a career in corporate intelligence analysis in oil & gas and the pharmaceutical industry which led her eventually to focus on crisis management.
With a career spanning over 20 years and three continents, Eva is skilled at getting people together to figure out how to help a company prepare for and work through disruptions. She understands geopolitics and has experience working in large, multinational multidivisional companies. Eva has years of experience conducting trainings, both virtual and in-person, and will help your company make the most out of bringing together stakeholders to discuss potential disruption to the business and what it means for you. She also has decades of experience in corporate intelligence analysis, covering strategic issues as well as overseeing a regional watch desk with global coverage. Eva has been involved in various industry groups, most recently having served as chair of the Southeast Analyst Roundtable where she continues to serve on the board.
Eva has lived and worked in Asia, Europe and the United States. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.
